I love cycling. It’s an incredible sport, full of nuance and tradition. It’s also shrouded in misinformation, pseudoscience and confusion – particularly when it comes to strength training.

As a professional strength and conditioning coach, I’ve worked with athletes across many different sports – from pro cyclists, to ultramarathon runners to amateur lacrosse player

Of all the sports I’ve been involved with, cycling is the only sport that still lacks a basic understanding of just how important strength training is, and how to apply it.

The pros have access to amazing support. But for everyone else, guidance is vague, it’s disjointed and in most cases…. it’s just plain wrong.

The result? Cyclists ignore strength training completely, or they train incorrectly. Either way, they miss out on huge improvements in performance.

I created The Cycling Coach because I want to give riders access to the tools they need to strength train in confidence and the reap the benefits, all-year round.

Use our unique self-assessment process to gain a detailed understanding of your current strengths and weaknesses. This will help to determine which mobility and strength programmes you can access.

Access Your Customised Programmes

Based on your results, you will be given access to a mobility and strength training programme that is specific to you – your experience, mobility, injury history, availability to train and where you are in your current season. You will be given access to your programme through a FREE training app (available on ITunes and Google Play).

Start Building Strength

Now you can strength train properly, with confidence and purpose. Every single exercise is accompanied by an annotated video and coaching points. You have access to support from a professionally qualified strength and conditioning coach within the membership site.

Re-Assess & Continue Building

Once your programme is complete, it’s time to re-assess your baseline and access your new programme. Your programme will adapt to your new baseline and current circumstances.
